Parag Tyagi, the husband of the late Shefali Jariwala, has once again broken his silence to address the rumors surrounding his wife's death on June 27, 2025. In an exclusive interview with Filmygyan, Parag set the record straight on various bizarre claims circulating on social media, emphasizing that Shefali never took injections for dieting, fairness, or anti-aging purposes. He urged people to stop believing in the misinformation spread through "WhatsApp University."
Parag revealed that Shefali led a normal lifestyle, enjoying regular home-cooked meals and maintaining a healthy fitness level. He refuted the rumors that Shefali was dependent on injections to suppress her hunger, stating, "Hum Chinese khaate the, noodles khaate the, ice cream khaate the. Bhookh na lagne wale injections ki zarurat hi kya thi?" (We eat Chinese, noodles, and ice cream. What need was there for hunger-suppressing injections?).
When asked about the anti-aging injection rumors, Parag sarcastically replied, "Please mujhe bhi bata do. Agar young rehne ka injection hota toh sab le lete. Parents ko bhi lagwa dete." (Please tell me. If there was an injection to stay young, everyone would take it. Even parents would use it). He further emphasized, "Agar aisa hota toh Ratan Tata ji bhi aaj zinda hote." (If that were the case, even Ratan Tata would be alive today).
Parag admitted that while people continue to make assumptions online, he has made peace with the situation. He said, "Jab aana hota hai toh aana hota hai. You can’t control it." (When it happens, it happens. You can't control it).
Beyond addressing the rumors, Parag opened up about the emotional trauma he experienced after Shefali's demise. He admitted that accepting the reality was the toughest part, saying, "Ek second mein life completely change ho gayi. Main numb ho chuka tha." (In one second, my life completely changed. I was numb). He still feels Shefali's presence around him and believes she continues to guide him every day, "She comes in my dreams. She helps me and guides me. She is still with us."
Parag also recalled their bond, calling Shefali his mentor, best friend, and biggest support system. "She is my backbone. She taught me everything. Main unko guru maanta hoon," he said. He revealed that one of Shefali's biggest dreams was to start a foundation focused on girls' education and empowerment, and he now wants to fulfill her dream himself.
In the end, Parag spoke about getting a tattoo dedicated to Shefali. He revealed that their daughter Pari insisted that the tattoo should include sindoor because "she was a suhagan." (She was a married woman). "Woh zindagi bhar mere saath rahegi," Parag said. (She will be with me throughout my life).
Parag Tyagi's words offer a poignant reflection on the impact of Shefali Jariwala's death and the challenges of navigating the aftermath of such a loss. His openness about the emotional trauma and his determination to fulfill Shefali's dreams provide a glimpse into the resilience and love that can emerge in the face of tragedy.
